Just two months after the release of mellow-dramatic third season finale, Netflix officially confirms the renewal of hit high school drama series, Elite, for season 4. Renewable was highly expected. Since the high school drama series created a lot of buzz among the younger Netflix audience around the world.
First of all, due to the increasing popularity of teen thriller drama, it goes far beyond its native Spain. Secondly, thanks to extremely positive reviews from critics and international audiences. This show boasts an unbelievable approval of 97% on Rotten tomatoes. And, for sure, you can say it is one of the most twisted Netflix series ever. While Netflix doesn’t publicly reveal its viewership numbers, it noted that Elite is one of the best performing Spanish original series. With an audience that exceeds 20 million last year.
Release Date:
Season 4 renewal announcement was made in a video by the made returning Elite cast members. In contrast, they were in corona-virus isolation in their homes. Most importantly, the teaser confirms that season 4 will be released on Netflix in summer 2021, probably in summer. Due to this pandemic, it would surely take time. But, it can be their strategy too, to produce season 4 and season 5 together, and will release them, with a concise time difference. Let’s see how the story turns around and what kind of new mysteries and high-school drama it will bring.
Plot:
Season 3 started with the death of a significant character, Polo. During a graduation party at Las Encinas. To reveal the characters’ motivations and actions, to protect a student who accidentally stabs Polo. The show continuously jumps back and forth in time.
If you thought season 3 was dramatic, get ready for or even more. Elite actors saw the new script already and said season 4 is going to be very intense. The only known fact about season 4 is that Omar is going to be the new student at Las Encinas.
