On Saturday, Feb 22 (2020) Hilary Duff posts a video on her Instagram page of herself. Confronting a male photographer. Who took photos of her son and his friends playing in a park.

Hilary posts the uncomfortable exchange on her Instagram page. Along with the caption: “Paparazzi shooting kids go practice your photography on Adults. Creep! Laws need to change. This is stalking minors, Disgusting”. “Who are you here with? Duff asks the man, who is not identified by name and who does not confirm his profession. “Do you know any people on the team? Can you stop taking pictures of the kids Please?”. The photographer offers to show his ID after Hilary.
Hilary says, “I’m asking you human to human, as a mother. If you don’t know anyone here. Would you please stop taking pictures of our children playing football”. The man continues to insist he has a right to be there. Claiming that he was “practicing his photography”.
Then Hilary replies, “No it’s an uncomfortably factor that these are small children and you don’t have a child here”. They are our children and we would like to protect them. This is what you’re choosing to do on your Saturday morning.” He tells her, “No, you’re making it creepy,” and moves to put his hand over her phone’s camera lens.
Fellow actor Busy Phillips was among those to write a comment supporting Duff on her Post.
“This isn’t about his job or his rights”. This is about his power over others. I imagine it’s the only time this pathetic person feels any power in his life. “I know it’s illegal for an adult not with a child to be inside a playground – how is taking pictures of children without parental consent legal”???
